There is a program inside the image of hirens

http://servoblog.com/smforum/index.php/topic,19.0.html

Download the hirens image and extract with winrar  the .iso file to anywhere in your pc, go inside and localize the file "Autorun.exe" inside the folder "Wintools". There is a program called "SWI" inside the submenu "Sysinfo". After you launch the program in the left hand side menu go to Hardware>Sensors, there is plenty of info about all the temperatures you can know in your computer.
I have 61 degrees centigrades in my cpu AMD turion 64 ML-40 Smiley

Why are you worried about the temperature of your pc? Normally the systom of have an excess of temperature is blue screen or system reboots.  Roll Eyes

Core is the center part of the processor (cpu), in your case you have a double core (dual core)

70 degrees is a bit high but your computer is not going to burn out. The fan inside your laptop could be a bit dirty becouse of accumulation of dust. I cleaned mine recently opening the fan and using a brush, now is much much quieter.

Is your fan a lot more noisy than when you bought the laptop?

I would buy a good thermal paste instead, clean the fun with a brush, remove the old thermal paste and apply the new one.
Is easy and you can find loads of simple manuals in forums or even videos in youtube if you get stacked.
Try, is worth to learn!!
